A popular stopover on the way up the coast are the Pinnacles, made famous by Billy Connolly's World Tour of Australia TV series, where he was seen running around the Pinnacles stark naked! Sand-boarders and surfers should also stop in at LancelinShark Bay is where you can paddle with the dolphins at Monkey Mia and try and spot the elusive dugongs. Coral Bay and Exmouth, on the Ningaloo Reef, is where you can swim with 18 metre whale sharks and go scuba diving and snorkelling from the beach.
