Backpacking WA is an industry group of people representing backpacking businesses and have been there for you since 2002. It aims to support the development of Western Australian backpacking and provide a united voice for members to address government related concerns, liaise with media and boost awareness and acceptance of the backpacker industry.
The day to day operation of Backpacking WA is overseen by an elected Executive Committee. We have a dedicated Membership Officer, Events Sub-committee and our own Secretariat Service Officer who will make sure we continue to get results for YOU!
We have a new committee who commenced work in 2007 and are dedicated to promoting WA and they can also be a voice for all backpacker operators in WA. We can not do this for an industry if we don’t have the support of all that are in it. The committee are there to do the leg work for us all but we always need your input so we can keep the direction focused on things that are relevant to every member. We have had a lot of help from Tourism Council WA over the past couple of years but this year sees BWA taking back the reigns and driving Backpacking WA forward.
Backpacking WA is ready to really put Western Australia on the backpacking map! If you want to come along for the ride – please keep supporting all the initiatives we put in place from year to year! It will be to everyone’s benefit in the long run if we can make Western Australia the place to see.
It’s an exciting time to be involved with Backpacking WA – we are moving ahead with lots of plans for networking opportunities and promotional initiatives which we hope all of you will continue to support.
