Free City CAT Bus

Generally departs every 10 minutes between 7.00am to 6.15pm, extended times on weekends for the Blue CAT.

Swan Bells

Admission: Free entry on the first Tuesday of every month, otherwise visit for $10 adult or $7 concession fee.

The Swan Bells is one of the world largest musical instruments. Originating from one of London’s most famous churches in Trafalgar Square and was given to the City of Perth to commemorate Australia’s Bicentenary in 1988. The famous Bell rang for the home coming of Captain James Cook after his voyage of discovery in 1771.

Museum

Admission: Donation only

Check out what on display at this great educational venue. Join one of our Visitor Services Officers on a journey around the Museum with one of our guided tours. Learn some fascinating insights into the history of the Museum buildings in the Historical Buildings Tour (daily at 11.00am), or get the inside information in the Western Australian Land and People Gallery (daily at 2.00pm). Tours operate Monday to Friday.

Queens Gardens

Admission: Free Entry

Located in East Perth, this stunning garden has come a long way from the days when its lilly filled lakes were clay pits for Perths building developments. The main features of the gardens include massed displays of flowers and a replica of the Peter Pan statue in Kensington Gardens, London, manicured lawns and a large variety of trees and shrubs.


Kings Park

Admission: Free Botanic, Heritage, trail or bush walk

Activities in the park include:
  • Lottery West Federation Walk- take a scenic walk amongst the tree tops while taking in the spectacular views of Perth and the swan river at a height.
  • Bush Land Nature Trail or Law Walk- encounter Western Australia famous wild flowers, trees and bird life. Takes approximately 25 minutes and is suitable for all.
  • Climb the DNA tower, all 101 steps
  • Sate war memorial
  • Free Barbecue and picnic areas
  • Free Guided walks at 10.00am and 2.00pm starting at the Aspects Gift Shop on Fraser Avenue.

A great place to walk through and see the city’s colony of Western Grey Kangaroos.
So close to the city, catch a free bus to the causeway and then walk five minutes halfway across the bridge.

Gloucester Park

Friday night racing at Gloucester Park is a great way to start off your weekend. Night harness racing is a spectacle enjoyed by thousands of Western Australians and every Friday night Gloucester Park turns on the big lights and the pacing action, with nine exciting races, full tote facilities, non-stop entertainment and three on-course restaurants.
Located opposite the WACA in East Perth.

Ferry Crossing

Catch the ferry from Barrack St Jetty to South Perth ONLY $1.10 one way
From there see the animals at the zoo or just enjoy the panoramic view or Perth City from one of the many cafes along the main street.

Concert Hall

Catch the free red cat to the performing home of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.
This venue is one of the city's most popular concert venues for touring performers including guests of the annual Perth International Arts Festival.

The Perth Mint

Perth Zoo

Admission: On wednesdays adults get childrens prices $9 or $18 any other day.

Australia’s best small zoo just five minutes from the CBD on the banks of the Swan River.
Perth Zoois open every day of the year; in fact it has not closed for one single day since it opened in 1898. You will need half a day to see everything Perth Zoo has to offer but we recommend a full day to make the most of your visit. 9.00 to 5.00pm.
